Drug suspect Jos Leijdekkers, wanted by Dutch justice, is suspected of having issued a murder order in 2020. The target was one of the suspects in the torture container case. The AD reported this on Saturday.

Evidence around

The newspaper writes that the justice department believes it has completed the evidence in that case. Almost all the evidence comes from chats sent via the encrypted Sky ECC. Leijdekkers was a major user of this secure telephone service, which was cracked by the investigative services in 2021, according to the AD.

Torture containers

It is February 2, 2020 when the photo of the intended target is forwarded. It concerns Robin van Ouwerkerk. The Utrecht drug trafficker will gain some fame a few months later as the main suspect in building the rumored torture containers that the police find in the Brabant town of Wouwse Plantage.

Street language

The chats are peppered with criminal slang such as ‘brother’, ‘dog’ and ‘let it sleep’. Nothing can go wrong with the job, the client emphasizes once again: ‘We should employ 4 heads (hitmen), so that it will certainly go well.’

Robin van Ouwerkerk would not ultimately be liquidated. The intended shooter Ocean S. was arrested in another police investigation a day after he received the murder order. That may have put an end to the plans, write the AD.

Court case

The man who, according to justice, gave the instructions is Jos Leijdekkers. The fugitive Brabander, also known as Bolle Jos, is currently the most wanted man in the country. The trial against him will start next month, which mainly consists of suspicion of large-scale drug smuggling, in which Leijdekkers is said to have converted a billion.

Robin van Ouwerkerk has now passed away.
