There will be a new walking network for South Limburg: Knopenlopen. A milestone for the Province of Limburg, sixteen South Limburg municipalities and Route Point Visit South Limburg.

The new walking network junctions will arise throughout South Limburg. So this is in the ‘triangle’ of Echt-Susteren, Vaals and Eijsden-Margraten. The new network is expected to be delivered in early 2025. The current colored posts will eventually disappear. A new junction system will take its place.

The ‘Knotloop’ takes you past the Kunrader Stone Quarry in Voerendaal. Councilor Delsing visited the Vervuurt family’s quarry; a real family business that has been active in the construction sector for generations. It is the only open-pit quarry in the Netherlands. So definitely worth a look!
