For those who are not deeply involved in the matter, it is difficult to judge: is Martin Bosma really an anti-Semite or are those strange woke activists acting when they object to his presence at the national commemoration of the dead on May 4? Anyone who searches the internet will not find any statements by Bosma in which he literally says he hates the Jews. It can be read here and there that he states that Adolf Hitler was a socialist (and therefore left-wing) and that may seem plausible to the layman, because his party was the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP) and that sounds (again, to the layman) ) a bit Labor Party-esque.

The reality is that it is rather the opposite. In Mein Kampf (I am reading it and everyone should do that to better understand what we should pay attention to today) Adolf Hitler describes in detail how much he hates socialism and Marxism. He also describes how he equates Jews with socialists, social democrats and Marxists. This, among other things, because, according to Hitler, only the Jews benefit from socialism.

According to Hitler, Marxism was a Jewish conspiracy and he complains about the influence of Jews in the press, politics, the theater and in the art world. all made possible by the socialist movement. – today we call this line of thought cultural Marxism.

Below is an excerpt from Mein Kampf (from the most recent translation published by Prometheus, pages 85, 86):

Alright, and what is (among other things) the problem with Martin Bosma’s statements?

I would say that to begin with (!) there are two things and for that I use the words of Bosma himself – I read his book ‘The false elite of the counterfeit coiners‘.

1
Martin Bosma draws the concepts together (even further than Hitler did) and states that Marxism is equal to socialism and social democracy:
social democracy equals national socialism (Hitler’s party)
socialism equals social democracy (he mentions the PvdA)
National Socialism is then comparable to Islam and ‘fascism is the new Mohammedanism’ (for the latter Bosma uses (or misuses) quotes from Jaques de Kadt).

Martin Bosma actually makes everything and everyone on the left side of the spectrum suspect, equates Hitler’s party and his opponents, and then uses his ‘analysis’ to legitimize Muslim hatred.

2
Martin Bosma has been talking about (the conspiracy of) cultural Marxism (or cultural Marxism) for years. The above groups, which Martin Bosma states that they are an extension of each other, infiltrate (with their long arms or tentacles) through politics, the arts, education and science in all institutions with the aim (among other things) of multiculturalism and mass immigration.

According to the cultural Marxist conspiracy, the intention is to create chaos among the people in favor of this left-wing elite, which will then become even more powerful. As an example of a prominent person within this elite, Bosma regularly refers to the Jewish businessman George Soros, who has great influence through the WEF with his investments in the left-wing conspiracy.

All this is very similar to Adolf Hitler’s reasoning in Mein Kampf.

But, just to wrap things up now that I’ve started reading:

In his book ‘De gideonsbende’, Thierry Baudet also makes similar leaps, equates the same concepts with each other and he also regularly refers to the conspiracy of cultural Marxism.

This is important to report because you often hear people say that the PVV is ‘not too bad’ if you compare the background and thinking within the party with that of the Forum for Democracy. And that is an incorrect assumption. Anyone who compares the books and the words can only conclude that the differences are minimal.

So well, do people have a point when they object to Martin Bosma’s presence at a commemoration on May 4? I think so.

For those who are curious about a more extensive analysis and conversation about the above book comparisons, Chris Aalberts and I made a podcast episode about how it all went wrong with Martin Bosma:
