Harrie Smolders had a successful day in Windsor today. After finishing third this afternoon in the 1.50m class with Monaco NOP (by Cassini II), he repeated that trick again later today in the CSI5* 1.55m class with the Oldenburg premium stallion Springfield 21 (by Stakkato Gold).
Six horses started in the jump-off, with Kent Farrington taking first place. The American rider clocked a time of 35.38 seconds with Landon (by Comilfo Plus Z). He referred Giulia Martinengo Marquet to second place. The Italian drove the Cesano 2 offspring Scuderia 1918 Calle Deluxe in 37.09 seconds, more than a second and a half ahead of Smolders.
Joseph Stockdale was lightning fast with a time of 32.72 seconds, but missed one bar. He finished fourth with four penalties with the 10-year-old Ebanking (by Etoulon). The top five was completed by Laura Kraut and Confu (by Contact ME). This duo also recorded four penalty points.
