Omroep Flevoland – News – Watch the commemoration of death in Dronten live here

This year, Dronten is commemorating 60 years. Traditionally, the commemoration of death will also be broadcast live this year by Omroep Flevoland.

Program
The commemoration in Dronten takes place on the Meerpaalplein. A few minutes before 8 p.m. there will be a speech by Mayor Gebben.

After the Last Post, the 2 minutes of silence and the national anthems, wreaths are laid at the monument. A student from Ichthus College concludes by reciting a poem.

There is a flypast of a Harvard (old Air Force training plane) and the Edambusters.

Back to Birkenau
The commemoration will be followed by a musical and theatrical television program inspired by the impressive testimony of a Holocaust survivor. The program is a collaboration between theater group Suburbia, Ensemble Black Pencil and Omroep Flevoland. You can also watch it online.
