Rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Cassie have reached a settlement a day after the singer accused him of rape and assault. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
In a joint statement, Cassie states that agreements have been made that are ‘to a certain extent under her control’. Combs, formerly known as Puff Daddy, added that he wishes Cassie and her family “the best.”
Cassie, 37, filed suit against her ex on Thursday. She accused him of, among other things, systematic abuse and rape. Combs (54) is also said to have forced her to perform sexual acts with others while he filmed the sessions. The two had an on-again, off-again relationship for more than ten years. Cassie was also under contract with Combs’ label for a long time.
The rapper denied all allegations and previously called them ‘offensive and bizarre’. His lawyer stated that Cassie demanded tens of millions of dollars and would write a book about their relationship if she did not get the money. According to Cassie’s legal team, Combs had offered his ex “an eight-figure sum” to prevent her from going public with her story.
