Travis Kelce on relationship with Taylor Swift: ‘Her family played cupid’ | Backbiting

Kelce admits that he tried his best to get Swift’s attention during her Arrowhead Stadium performance in July, but ultimately got help from the singer’s own inner circle.

“There was someone who played cupid and asked her if she knew who I was,” Kelce says in conversation with it Wall Street Journal Magazine, which will be released on December 9. He later found out that it was Swift’s relatives who put in a good word for him.

34-year-old Kelce says that he has never had a relationship that received as much attention as his relationship with 33-year-old Swift. “I’ve never had to deal with this before. The magnifying glass under which she lies and paparazzi waiting for her every day. Yet I don’t run away from it,” he says. “If she knows how to deal with it, I can’t make an issue of it.”

Kelce also says that he and Swift have a similar view of family. “Everyone knows I’m a family man,” he says. “And with her, her team is made up of family members. Her family does a lot when it comes to her tour and the marketing. They’re there with everything. So I think she has the same values, which are very similar to mine.”
