Thirteen horses were presented at the home inspection in Drenthe on Tuesday. It was a productive day in which four sport mares secured a grade increase. In addition, eight foalbook mares studbook conformation were made.
Inspector Marcel Beukers says: “We have had a busy but fruitful day. We have seen mares in the dressage and jumping direction, from foal book mares to horses with the sport predicate. It is always nice to see breeders and owners offering their sport mares. You also generally see that these horses are correct, which shows that correctness improves durability. It is also positive that these proven mares are returning to breeding.”
Jumping mares
The ten-year-old Isa AD (Quality Time out of Woofs stb perst sport-spr v. Oklund, f/g: A. Boverhof – Drost) has obtained her sport predicate in show jumping and can now add the ster predicate to it. “A long-lined mare that was already included in the studbook and we have now been able to upgrade to star with 70 points for conformation.”
Foal book mares
Eight young foalbook mares from both breeding directions were declared studbook conformation at the home inspection. Also Pybalia Wilz (Grandorado TN out of Cybalia v.Colman, f/g: J. Wiltinge-Zanting te Dwingeloo). “A very appealing three-year-old mare, really a Grandorado type. Beautiful, long-lined, an appealing front and very correct. We have therefore awarded her 75 points for the exterior.”
Hameta W
Three dressage mares were already highly successful in the competition ring and also managed to make a positive impression on Tuesday. The Z2 mare Hameta W (Don Schufro out of Uriel ster v. Farrington, f: BS Wichers in Dedemsvaart, g: R. de Boer out of Burgum) was declared star with 70 points for exterior. “A long-lined mare with a good front. She had a slightly straight pastern, but otherwise sufficiently correct.”
Franklin daughter
The German registered mare Sara Reina (Franklin out of Soraya Donna Rosa PROK v.Stedinger, g: TE Mulder-Dolsma Dwingeloo) received 75 points for the exterior. “A very beautiful, long-lined and appealing black mare with a beautiful front.”
Juliet
The ZZ-Licht mare Julia (Electron out of Vanna-D elite sport-dres prok v. Jazz, f/g: fam. Slingerland in Elim) scored 70 points for conformation, 75 points for walk and 80 points for trot. “A slightly poorly muscled and soft-bodied mare with a good rectangular model. She had a foal at her foot, but she really walked over it,” praises Marcel Beukers.
