The Dutch national team will play a practice match against Germany in the run-up to the European Championship. National coach Ronald Koeman announced this today during his press conference in the run-up to the last qualifying match with Gibraltar. The condition is that the Dutch team is not in the group with the host country during the tournament.

Thanks to the 1-0 win over Ireland last Saturday, the Netherlands has officially qualified for the final round in Germany next year. The draw for the European Championships will be on Saturday, December 2 in Hamburg. In the draw, the Dutch team is in pot 3, Germany in pot 1. A total of 24 countries are participating in the European Championship, divided into six groups. The chance that the Netherlands will meet Germany in the group stage is therefore one in six.

This is the position in the Dutch group for the European Championship qualification
