Five drivers under the influence last weekend

It was another busy weekend. 5 people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

On Friday, November 17, at Niebert, a driver blew an A on the selection device. At the station it turned out that the driver was just under the limit (230UGL) and was therefore allowed to go home again.

Saturday November 18, 2023

– At 1 a.m., colleagues received a report at Midwolde of a driver who appeared to be heavily under the influence of alcohol. During the inspection, the driver, a 55-year-old resident of the municipality of Borger-Odoorn, blew an F (feel too much).

At the station the driver blew 905 UGL. His driver’s license has been confiscated and he has been issued a report.

– At 7:00 PM there was an accident in Leek. One of the drivers, a 42-year-old resident of Leek, blew an A. At the station he blew 385 UGL. He will receive a report for this.

– At 7:30 p.m. colleagues saw a vehicle snaking on the Boerakkerweg in Niebert. The driver, a 42-year-old with no fixed abode, turned out not to have a driver’s license and blew an A.

At the station the driver blew 415 UGL. He has been charged with driving without a license and driving under the influence.

– At 11:30 PM, colleagues checked a vehicle on the Kolonieweg in Opende. This driver, a 34 year old resident of Valburg, blew an F and at the station he blew 840 UGL. His driver’s license has been confiscated and he has been issued a report.
