The five residences in the Netherlands fall under Korian. That company has 49 locations in our country. Korian is considering selling all healthcare activities in the Netherlands and Belgium to strengthen its equity. Korian’s French parent company wants to raise a total of 1 billion euros through the sale of its activities in the Netherlands and Belgium. The management of the French Clariane says that there is interest from parties to take over the activities in the Netherlands and Belgium. A decision on this will be taken in 2024.
In a statement, Korian said that a possible takeover of the Limburg locations will have no consequences for the staff. The Limburg locations are doing well, but the French parent company is having financial difficulties. Last week the company presented a plan to strengthen its financial structure. Next year, Clariane wants to sell 1 billion euros worth of assets. That money must be raised by selling the locations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
