DRAGON – The former pancake house was purchased for 280,000 euros by the municipality of Smallingerland. The building was owned by Terheyl Beheer BV.

The purchase of the property at Moleneind ZZ 61 in Drachten is a step towards the realization of the Center Vision and the development of the Sander Israëlsplein area.

The location is important for the municipality, as it is located between Moleneind and Sander Israëlsplein. It also offers opportunities for future housing construction in the central area.

Location development

The purchase is seen as a precursor to the further development of the area. The building, which is located next to the Action, can be integrated into the planned development of this area. The intention is for the Action to be moved.

Future vision

Further planning for Sander Israëlsplein and the surrounding area is part of the broader Center program, in which future land development will be submitted to the council for decision-making.
