Vader ‘Star Wars’ actor John Boyega doesn’t like his films

John Boyega is best known to the general public for his role as Finn in the last Star Warstrilogy, but otherwise the actor can only be seen in art-house films. In any case, someone is not a fan of this, namely his own father.

Most recently, Boyega was a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show, where the actor spoke about a conversation with his father, who apparently likes to see his son make different choices.

Conversation
For example, Boyega says: “My father said to me recently: “You know John, all those artistic films you make don’t interest me”. My dad just wants me to jump off buildings and stuff. He asked me why I can’t have a career like Bruce Willis’s. I said to him, “Because I’m trying to go deeper and create a connection with the audience!”“.

My father, however, was crystal clear: “No, no, jump off a building, then you’re a real star!” When he saw my action movie ‘Attack the Block’, my father thought I was going to be a real action star. He liked that. But when he sees my movies now, in which I often play emotional characters with a deep story, he can only sigh. He doesn’t like it!

Support
Fortunately, Boyega admits that his parents have always supported him and will continue to do so. However, his father will be happy to hear that his son is in They Cloned Tyrone with the necessary action. Work is also underway on a Attack the Block 2so Boyega senior now gets his way!
