PSG is disappointed

Paris Saint-Germain suffered a significant loss of points in the French league on Saturday evening. If they had won against relegation candidate Le Havre, the Parisians would have been champions. Instead, they drew 3-3 in their own stadium.

PSG therefore has to postpone the championship celebration for a while. Moreover, it is a bad dress rehearsal for the semi-final of the Champions League, which is scheduled for Wednesday. Then PSG plays away against Borussia Dortmund.

Cynics will say that coach Luis Enrique has been belied for his hubris. He started Kylian Mbappé on the bench: since the star player announced that he would not renew his contract, he has played less and less.

That resulted in a 1-2 deficit before half time. PSG was twice surprised on the counter by the very defensive Le Havre. The leader himself scored through Bradley Barcola, the talent who was acquired from Lyon last summer for no less than 45 million euros.

Renaissance in rainy decor

After the break, Mbappé was allowed to take office to force a result. That was only achieved with difficulty; Thanks to an easily given penalty, Le Havre even took a 1-3 lead in a soaking wet Parc des Princes, where it rained non-stop for ninety minutes.

Achraf Hakimi and Gonçalo Ramos then scored, with PSG making a justified comeback. The Parisians were the only ones who wanted to attack and were clearly the better team. However, the draw is not enough for the national championship.
