The match in the Kitchen Champion Division between MVV Maastricht and FC Dordrecht was definitively stopped in the final phase. FC Dordrecht led 1-3 when both teams no longer entered the field. The KNVB will soon decide what to do with the remainder of the match.

Referee Rob Dieperink had already interrupted the match twice before deciding to stop permanently. He directed all players inside for the first time in the 83rd minute when supporters of both clubs threatened to fight each other in the stands.

The match was resumed, but two minutes later it was again referee Dieperink who stopped the match for the same reason. This time an MVV supporter had fallen from the stands. It is unknown how the injured supporter is doing.

Both teams went to the locker room, returned to the field more than half an hour later, but the fans did not allow them to continue playing.

MVV supporters threatened to riot if the match were resumed. The players returned to the changing rooms for the third and final time and did not return to the field, the match was permanently stopped.

MVV was heading for a defeat in the match. At the start of the match, Mathis Suray scored after just five minutes, scoring his tenth goal of the season. Three minutes later the score was doubled. A very painful own goal by goalkeeper Romain Matthys made it 0-2 after eight minutes. As if it wasn’t bad enough for MVV, Ilias Sebaoui signed for the 0-3 score a minute before half-time.

After the break, Dailon Rocha Livramento did something back for the home team. The striker made his twelfth of the season.

De Graafschap too strong for TOP Oss

TOP Oss was in good shape after victories over the Jong teams of Ajax and FC Utrecht, but the Superboeren were a size too big on Friday evening. Tristan van Gilst shot the opening goal against the ropes in the 41st minute on a pass from Simon Colyn.

In the second half it was Colyn again, this time with the goal, who doubled the score for Jan Vreman’s team. Grad Damen allowed the tension to return for a while, but Ruud Brood’s team did not get further than the tying goal: 2-1.
