Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 For Business are more repairable – Tablets and phones – News

Microsoft has announced two Surface devices for the business market. The Surface Pro 10 For Business and Surface Laptop 6 For Business will be released before the variants for the consumer market.

The two devices are, among other things, easier to repair, Microsoft says. The devices contain labels that identify the screws and indicate what type they are. Additionally, components have QR codes to assist with replacements and repairs. The screen, battery, motherboard, SSD, cameras and various modules and sensors can be replaced separately, writes The Verge.

The new Surface devices have Intel Core Ultra processors, equipped with an AI co-processor. There will also be 5G variants. The screen has also been given an anti-reflective coating to prevent reflections. Both devices have an LCD with the same features as their predecessors.

Also new is the NFC support for security keys that work with NFC for authentication. The front camera has 1440p support and a 114-degree field of view, wider than most other front cameras on tablets and laptops. There will be variants with a Core Ultra 135U and 165U for the Surface Pro and 135H and 165H for the Laptop 6. Memory ranges from 8GB to 64GB lppdr5x and storage is an SSD of 256GB, 512GB or 1TB. Euro prices are not yet known. The consumer versions will probably arrive in May. This includes a Surface Pro with an OLED screen.
