This must have been celebrated at Lucid with Airretjescake. The very first copies of the new Lucid Air have had a Dutch registration for about a week. According to the license plate, these are copies of 220,000 euros each and with an unknown capital. Judging by the price, it should be Dream Editions, which have up to 1,111 horsepower. But that is not the case.

Lucid Motors tells TopGear that these are not yet customer cars, but so-called engineering cars. These cars with Dutch license plates are tested here for the final fine-tuning. The first customer cars should also arrive this year. In this case, because they are test cars, the license plate data is not entirely correct.

The test models are Grand Touring versions with 819 hp. There was no type approval for this yet, so they have been introduced at the RDW with a price of 220,000 euros. The total power of this version is not known to the RDW, so this figure has not yet been entered.

In total, there are currently seven copies of the Lucid Air with Dutch registration, all with a specified price of 220,000 euros. So if you spot a Lucid Air with a yellow R license plate one of these days, you can bore people with a fun fact.
