Of the 1,000 employees of Krannich Solar, more than 400 are active in Germany.
25 branches outside Germany
The wholesaler still has 25 branches outside its home country of Germany – including the branches in Belgium and the Netherlands – where a total of almost 600 people work.
Most of the staff outside of Germany work in the United States, where more than 100 employees work in the 4 locations. The branch with the largest number of employees at the same location is the Swiss office with over 80 employees.
“Solar panels play a very important role in the fight against the climate crisis and for the urgently needed energy transition,” says founder and chief executive officer Kurt Krannich. ‘Only with the help of solar energy can we replace fossil fuels and nuclear energy. There is a lot to do in the coming years – all over the world. We will do our part and continue to grow in 2023.”
About 10 years ago – in 2012 and 2013 – the situation looked very different for his company, according to Krannich. ‘At that time, the PV industry mainly had to deal with political obstacles. Many players had to close their businesses. Today we know that we came out of this period stronger. Since 2014, our number of employees has been growing continuously and faster every year. Nearly 200 new employees were hired last year, more than ever before. We expect similar dynamic growth for the new year.”
