A 43-year-old man from Loosbroek died in an accident on Monday at the end of the afternoon on the DAF test track in Sint-Oedenrode. According to a police spokesman, the victim, a DAF employee, was test driving a truck and something went completely wrong.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident, police said. The truck also did not catch fire, she says when asked. The victim was alone in the truck.

Research Labor Inspectorate
The Labor Inspectorate is investigating what exactly happened at the test site on Lieshoutseweg. The Inspectorate also called in the help of specialists from the police traffic accident analysis.

Due to the seriousness of the accident, several emergency services were called. An air ambulance also landed nearby. New trucks from the Eindhoven truck factory are tested on the DAF test track, among other things.
