GOES – The NPO Radio 1 program ‘Dijkstra & Evenblij Ter Plekke’ broadcasts on Sunday evening from the De Pit community center in Goes. Presenters Erik Dijkstra and Frank Evenblij will discuss, among other things, steel slag that is dumped in the Oosterschelde for coastal defense. Fishermen and conservationists fear that the steel snails are causing deaths among lobsters and other marine life.

The Goes Rescue Brigade is also sounding the alarm. The rescuers are in danger of losing their shelter.

Comedian Freek de Jonge is a guest in the radio program. ‘He spent his formative years in Goes and the surrounding area. Why were those ‘rock ‘n roll years’ the happiest of his youth?’, the presenters want to know.
