Today, Heijen scored a very important three-pointer during his visit to Brakkenstein, and coach Driessen’s team won 1-4. Venhorst was allowed to travel to Nijmegen today for the meeting with Quick 1888, Venhorst lost 4-0, and therefore Quick 1888 is the champion. EGS’20 received a visit at home from the Groesbeek Boys today, EGS played a reasonable match, but still lost 2-3. Volkel also played a home match today, against Krayenhoff, in an exciting match Volkel managed to come out on top: 3-1. The derby between Hapse Boys and Vianen Vooruit ended without a winner, the score being 1-1. Vorstenbossche Boys got into deeper trouble this afternoon, Meeuwsen’s team lost 0-3 to SCE.

Heijen wins an important match against Brakkenstein

Heijen was allowed to take office today in and against Brakkenstein. Heijen started the match well. Trainer Tim Driessen speaks of ”our best first half so far” and that was also clearly reflected in the score. Tijn Wabeke opened the score in the 20th minute of play, and not much later it was Daniel Ilic who shot the 0-2 against the ropes, a beautiful volley. Just before half time, Daniel Ilic again made it 0-3, and the match seemed to be over. In the second half, Heijen played the match ”professionally”. They still conceded the 1-3, but not much later Tijn Wabeke reduced the margin to three again. He broke through the last line and shot in with control. Heijen then plays it out calmly until the referee puts an end to it. Brakkenstein – Heijen: 1-4. “It all went well today, several boys came back from injury and the men were looking forward to it,” said coach Driessen.

Venhorst lost colorless to champion Quick 1888

Venhorst visited Quick 1888 today. Venhorst got through the first fifteen minutes without any problems, but then Quick managed to find the net twice within ten minutes. After tea, Venhorst immediately got a good chance from a free kick, but the net was not found. Afterwards, Quick 1888 scores 3-0 from the counter, and Venhorst no longer seems to be able to steal the championship from Quick 1888. Quick even makes it 4-0. ”We have not been able to create enough ourselves to be able to claim a stunt, Quick 1888 is the rightful champion in my opinion.

EGS narrowly loses to Groesbeekse Boys

EGS’20 received a visit at home from the Groesbeek Boys today. EGS started the match great and was ”lord and master” for the first half hour, according to trainer Michel Kuijpers. EGS’20 therefore took the lead. Cas van Houtum worked a corner kick past the goalie of Groesbeekse Boys. Not much later, EGS’20 actually got the 1-1 out of nowhere, and five minutes later after an incorrect play-in pass the 1-2. In the second half, EGS again gets off to a good start, but forgets to reward itself. Groesbeekse Boys knows how to reward themselves after this, and they score 1-3. After that, EGS’20 recovered well, and once again Cas van Houtum worked a corner kick ”beautifully” into the net. After that, EGS had several more chances to make it 3-3, but none fell. “A point would certainly have been justified today,” said coach Michel Kuijpers. EGS’20 – Groesbeekse Boys: 2-3.

Volkel wins exciting match against Krayenhoff

Volkel’s home match against Krayenhoff was scheduled for today. Volkel got off to a good start and was the better team, but the opening goal came at the other end. In the 5th minute Krayenhoff received a corner and it was cleared. Ten minutes later Roy van Hintum made the score 1-1. Volkel had good chances to make it 2-1 before half time, but that didn’t happen. In the second half Volkel makes it 2-1, and it is Roy van Hintum again. After this good phase by Volkel, it is still exciting for a long time, but Volkel shoots the liberation goal into the net: again Roy van Hintum. “It was an exciting match,” said coach Ales Jurcik.

Derby between Hapse Boys and Vianen Vooruit ends undecided

Today the derby between Hapse Boys and Vianen Vooruit was on the program. Vianen Vooruit started the match well, taking the lead in the fifth minute of the match. A good attack by Wouter Evers in combination with Tycho Schimmel in which Wouter Evers pulled the trigger: 0-1. “Afterwards, Vianen gave Vooruit Haps the 1-1 as a gift,” according to Vianen’s coach Sjuul van der Heijden. Vorstenbosch played against SCE at its own Bergakkers today. Vorstenbosch needs all the points to avoid direct relegation. However, no points were scored today, coach Meeuwsen’s team lost 0-3 at home. The team played good football until half time, but in the second half things went wrong for Meeuwsen’s formation. Only a miracle can keep Vorstenbosch in the 3rd division.
