The press conferences for the upcoming weekend in Miami have been announced by the FIA. The pool has become a lot thinner after last year, now that only one press conference with drivers and one with team bosses is held. Max Verstappen is absent in Florida.
It has become clear in recent years that the FIA likes to continue to change the format of the press conferences. This season it has been decided to cancel one of the two driver press conferences and to add an extra driver to the only press conference held on Thursday. The rest of the drivers appear on the media day in front of the so-called ‘TV pen’ and in the hospitals of the teams to provide answers to questions from the journalists present. There will then be a similar press conference on Friday with four team bosses.

In Miami it is six hours earlier than on Dutch soil, which means that the press conferences will be held in Florida at 7:30 PM Dutch time. On Friday, when the team bosses speak, we will hear from the leaders at 8:30 PM. We hear Lewis Hamilton, home hero Logan Sargeant and the American Zak Brown, among others, in front of the microphone this week. Verstappen is not there.
