ROELOFARENDSVEEN – An accident involving two cars occurred on the A4 near Weteringbrug on Sunday evening around 7 p.m. One person died on the spot, the police reported.
The victim’s car came to rest behind the guardrail against a tree in an unknown manner. The driver was removed from the car by witnesses and resuscitated. The fire brigade then took over, but to no avail.
The Forensic Traffic Investigation is investigating the circumstances of the accident. That is why the A4 from Roelofarendsveen in the direction of Amsterdam is closed to the Burgerveen junction. This makes it very busy on the Alkemadelaan.
