Intimate moment of PSV staff in an empty stadium, Bosz lights a cigar

The holiday of national champion PSV ended on Sunday evening, especially for members of the technical staff and a number of players, with an intimate moment in the center circle of a now empty Philips Stadium in Eindhoven.

After all the hustle and bustle of celebrating the 25th national title after the 4-2 victory over Sparta Rotterdam earlier in the day, chairs were placed around the center spot and the selection could enjoy the day while enjoying a drink and a cigar.

There was a lot of laughter, but also singing. “Joey has to stay!”, it was said, addressed to midfielder Joey Veerman. The Dutch international has had a good season at PSV and could make the move abroad.

The bowl was passed around from player to player and technical director Earnest Stewart also visibly enjoyed the get-together, with former PSV player Mart van den Heuvel next to him, who is now a player supervisor.

It’s party time again for PSV on Monday. The selection will then be officially honored at the Stadhuisplein in Eindhoven, after it has gone through the city with the flat cart.
