Homeowners who want to make their home more sustainable can register for a purchasing campaign through the municipality of Schagen, with which they can save on solar panels, for example.

The municipality is holding the purchasing campaign together with the organization ‘Winst Uit Je Woning’. During the promotion you can opt for solar panels, roof insulation, floor insulation, insulating glass and heat pumps. Sustainability Councilor Hans Heddes: “We are happy to help our residents save on their energy bills and increase their living comfort. Selecting suitable and beneficial measures that save energy is a difficult job and takes a lot of time. That is why we help them with that.”

Participate

The advice and purchasing campaign is intended for private homeowners with a ground-level home, the municipality reports. Home owners will soon receive more information by letter. In addition to advice, they also receive quotes and support with financing options. According to the municipality, the advantage of the collaboration with ‘Winst Uit Je Woning’ is that homeowners receive a single point of contact and that prices of products and services are competitive.

Not every homeowner will receive a letter yet: in the autumn the municipality will introduce an alternative approach for residents who have a house with a low energy label and a WOZ value below €429,300.
