When is the macOS Ventura release date?

It’s been four months since Apple announced the latest macOS, but when is the macOS Ventura release date? You can read that here.

macOS Ventura release date

Apple, as usual, is quite mysterious about the release date of macOS Ventura. The company has now indicated that the update will be released in October, but an exact date has not yet been announced. We usually only get it a week in advance – but luckily we can give a good estimate.

Typically, major macOS updates are always released on a Monday. But… there are still four Mondays to go this month! However, we can cross off days in that. For example, October 10 is very unlikely – because then we would have known by now – and October 31 is a public holiday. We then only have two days left as options: October 17 and 24. And then if we look at the release date of macOS Monterey last year (October 25), we have to conclude that Monday 24 October the most likely release date is for macOS Ventura.

macOS Ventura support

Ventura is full of new features. With Stage Manager you have a new way to multitask. Mail, Spotlight, Safari, and Messages are all getting major upgrades. Photos gains support for a shared photo library with family or friends. And with Continuity Camera, you can use your iPhone as a webcam for your Mac. Also nice: the Mac is finally getting a built-in Weather app.
