Review of Gids.tv:
Entertainment Score: 69% | IMDb 7.0
The special world of bodybuilders is central to this crime documentary, in which many men and women stuffed with steroids show the world what they have to offer. It was a time when Arnold Schwarzenegger was a shining example and wrestling with strong women was fashionable. In that environment we get to know Ray and Sally McNeil. What begins as true love slowly but surely turns into a huge tragedy. The Netflix series explores ‘domestic violence, gender roles and the sometimes bizarre world of bodybuilding’. An intense and sad story, which is perhaps only possible in the United States. Three stars.
cast
In addition to Sally McNeil, Lenda Murray and Lee Penman can also be seen in this series. This production is made by Nanette Burstein.
