As of July 1, the television channels Tommy TV and CGTN can no longer be seen via Ziggo’s digital television package.

Channels disappear

Ziggo reports that from July 1, the Chinese news channel CGTN (channel 508) and the home shopping channel Tommy TV (channel 250) – both part of TV Standard – will no longer be available from the provider.

NPO 1 extra available to everyone

Ziggo also reports that the public theme channel NPO 1 extra (channel 81) will be available to all Ziggo customers from 4 July. Currently, the channel can only be seen in the additional packages Plus and Movies & Series XL.

VRT Missed

The provider also reports that adjustments will be made to the VRT Gemist service, the on-demand offer of the Flemish public broadcaster. From July 1, this service is no longer available on older media boxes. “From 1 July, customers with such an older media box can still watch missed programs from the Flemish channels VRT 1, Canvas and Ketnet with Ziggo GO via the TV & Replay menuZiggo said.

Nothing will change for customers with a Ziggo Mediabox XL, Next or Next Mini. They simply watch missed programs from VRT 1, Canvas and Ketnet via the TV Guidesaid the provider.
