You can say a lot about the Windsors, but they are not distant and cold, especially not among themselves (although Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan think otherwise, but that’s besides the point).
With two family members (actually three including Sarah Ferguson) being treated for cancer, the family apps glow and people sympathize in different ways. Cards, flowers, letters – they do their best.
Charles and Catherine
It is not known how Catherine, the Princess of Wales, is doing, but judging by the fact that Prince William is back at work and seems a little more relaxed than before, it seems that their lives are returning to normal.
Windsor Horse Show
King Charles has now completed three months of treatment and resumed his public duties this week, although he is still taking it easy. But he seems to be feeling pretty good, otherwise he wouldn’t have turned up in the pouring rain at the Royal Windsor Horse show, which is not an official event in the royal agenda.
Elizabeth loved it
It was his third public appearance in four days. For his mother Queen Elizabeth, the Horse Show was one of the highlights of the year. Charles seems a little less passionate about horses, but clearly wanted to support the show.
Big hug
The king received a big hug from his niece Zara, the daughter of his sister Princess Anne. “So nice to have you there,” she said and also gave him a big kiss.
