Netflix has put the relatively unknown vampire film Dampyr from Italy online, but is it anything?

The vampire movie Dampyr has been on Netflix for a few days and apparently this very mixed reception of Riccardo Chemello’s film is being viewed well. The film comes in at seventh place in the Netflix Top 10.

The Italian vampire film is spoken in English and that probably makes the film more accessible to a large audience. But is everyone happy after seeing it? Dampyr is doubtful.

Received varied

On the IMDb the film does not get further than a 5.4 and this mediocre figure is confirmed by the reactions to [ur1=https://letterboxd.com/film/dampyr/reviews/by/added/]Lettboxd[/url1]. The film gets 2.6 out of 5 stars on that site.

A somewhat hopeful response from Seifu: “Nice concept, but wasted potential. The pace is rushed and the dialogue often makes you roll your eyes. The cinematography is nice and I liked the vampire story.”

Judge yourself

If you like vampire movies, then Dampyr so possibly something for you. It is clear that you should not expect too much from it. You will find the trailer below, as a preview, and the complete films can be found here on Netflix.
