Fans have expressed their concerns about the Amy Winehouse biopic. Firstly, they think it is too early for such a film, because “the singer only died in 2011”. And secondly, they are not pleased with the singing talents of leading actress Marisa Abela. A new video shared on the official channel of ‘Back to Black’ on TikTok is causing a stir. Abela’s imitation of the song ‘Stronger Than Me’ does not exactly lead to enthusiasm among the fans and they eagerly let it be known on social media.

“This is actually disrespectful, like we need justice for Amy Winehouse,” a fan wrote on X, captioning the clip. “Wait, this is supposed to be Amy Winehouse?” another fan wondered, to which another replied: “Amy, I’m so sorry.” Another wrote: “Expecting anyone to even come close to the sound of that woman is just crazy. Her voice was amazing.”

Amy Winehouse died at the age of 27. Her biopic ‘Back to Black’ is expected in cinemas next month.
