How wonderful that you were Ans Worst in Make Up Your Mind. How did you experience the revelation in the program?
“Of course I would have wanted to postpone my unveiling for another show, but when I was unveiled I saw people standing in the stands. Panel member Nikkie de Jager covered her mouth with her hands and came up close to see if it was really me. so I really loved it.”

You showed a completely different side of yourself. In the previous interview with Televizier, as our cover girl, you said that you were moved when you saw yourself like this for the first time. What exactly moved you so much?
“During the make-up you don’t see yourself transforming. The candidates consciously wait for this, so I didn’t know what was happening. When you finally, after four hours, get your wig on and a mirror is held up to you, then you know that you are ‘it’, but you don’t recognize yourself. So it felt like a new ‘coming out’ for a moment. And that moved me.”

You are a star in ether discipline. How difficult was it to keep your participation in this program a secret?
“I generally don’t find it difficult at all to keep a secret. As a policewoman, I walked around with secrets all day long. Nevertheless, I told those closest to me what I was going to do, but they also did not know how I would ultimately look in the show. My drag name, Ans Worst (‘or your sausage Lust…’), was of course terrible, but also hilarious. So we laughed about that.”
What kind of reactions have you received from your participation?
“We watched the broadcast with our group of friends at Nikkie and her husband Dylan’s home, because Nikkie and I found it hysterical to see their faces during my unveiling. And it became hysterical. Open mouths and wide eyes. Cries like: ‘Not! El, is that you? Unbelievable!’ The reactions were especially sweet and complimentary. So all praise goes to all those professionals who turned me into Ans Worst.”
What has participating in Make Up Your Mind brought you?
“Join Make Up Your Mind was initially a feeling of ‘what do I care, I’ll just do it’. But as the preparations progressed, with the show as the finale, I realized more and more how special it is to really become someone else. And how important it is to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. So I started to genuinely feel and experience it. I wish that experience for everyone.”
