Lewis Hamilton (39) has already thought about what he will do after the end of his career as a Formula 1 driver. The seven-time world champion tells in conversation with ‘GQ Magazine’ that he wants to focus on film and fashion.
“I started discovering things that I was even more passionate about”
In the interview, Lewis says that he has already spoken to several athletes about how they dealt with the end of their sporting careers. Some had no plan and therefore fell into a kind of hole, the driver recalls. He therefore started thinking so that he could prevent that. “That’s when I started discovering things I was even more passionate about,” he says.
When he’s done racing, Lewis expects to focus on film and fashion. The Brit is currently producing with his company Dawn Apollo Films already a film about Formula 1 starring Brad Pitt. Lewis has also been active in the fashion world for some time. For example, he collaborated several times with fashion group Tommy Hilfiger.
There is no talk of the end of his Formula 1 career yet. The driver is still driving for the Mercedes racing team this season. Lewis will play for Ferrari from 2025.
