Valerie De Booser (44) closed her clothing store Histoires de Femmes five years ago. Now she is making a surprising career change.

Valerie De Booser, the ex-wife of Koen Wauters (56) and mother of Zita (19) and Nono (17); now teaches pilates twice a week. These are physical exercises that improve strength, flexibility and balance. She gives classes in the Yoga & Pilates studio in Nazareth.

In the weekly magazine TV Family she says: “I had been suffering from lower back pain for a long time. When I started pilates years ago, my back pain disappeared immediately after the first class. It became my new sport.”

On the website of the Yoga & Pilates studio, De Booser writes: “When I was still in fashion and gave styling advice, I always strove to dress people in such a way that they could walk through life with complete confidence again. I loved seeing people blossom and be happy with who they saw in the mirror. Where I mainly worked on the appearance, which in any case had a decisive influence on the inner, I now work on the inner strength through the body. Putting people back in their own power is what I have loved doing for a long time.”(Pom)
