“I’m going back to the truck part-time from next week,” Frans Duijts shouted from the rooftops on social media. Fans already had their doubts, but on April 1 it becomes clear that it is indeed a joke.

Yet there is some truth in it; the singer will be traveling frequently for Simon Loos, the logistics service provider from Wognum, in the coming year to give the truck driving profession the attention he believes it deserves.

This collaboration was inaugurated last week with the April Fool’s joke that he would put his singing career on the back burner to work part-time in the truck. But nothing is less true. “For now I’ll just keep singing, but never say never,” laughs Frans.

“I have loved being on the truck from an early age and that is why this collaboration suits me like a glove. In addition, I grew up in a family business and Simon Loos is also a company that has been around for generations. Truck drivers are so important. They deserve more visibility and appreciation for their work.”

The first video is online from today. In this video, Frans goes out with retail distribution and maneuvers through the narrow streets of our capital, among others, to supply supermarkets.
