Big horse lovers
Mother and daughter not only look alike, they also share a love of horses. Princess Irene was already skilled in equestrian sports at a young age. Princess Margarita has also loved horses since she was little. The princess told Blauw Bloed in 2016 that horse riding means everything to her. “I lived from day to day just to go to my horse and climb on it.” Margarita has been patron of the Horse Power research project since 2023. Horses are used here in the treatment of PTSD.
