Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman star in remake The War of the Roses | Movies & Series

The film is about a couple who become involved in a hateful power struggle. The original was directed by Danny DeVito.

Roach is best known for the MeToo drama Bombshell. The screenplay for the remake is by Tony McNamara, who was recently nominated for an Oscar for his script for Poor Things.

The film Wicked Little Letters, which stars Colman, is currently in theaters. She also plays a role in the recent cinema hit Wonka. In recent years, Cumberbatch has played Dr. Strange in several Marvel films.

It is not yet known when The Roses will be shown in cinemas.
