For 72 years she has been in a deep sleep in the Efteling, waiting for the prince to come and kiss her awake. Since last summer, Sleeping Beauty Castle in the Fairytale Forest has been closed to the public due to a major renovation. Now everything is spic and span again and it turns out that the sleeping beauty herself has also undergone a beauty procedure: her breasts have increased considerably in size.
Not only have the breasts grown, Sleeping Beauty’s blond hair has also become a lot longer. Sleeping Beauty Castle was the major attraction designed by Anton Pieck for the opening of the Fairytale Forest in 1952.
According to a spokesperson for Efteling, this was also the reason why Doornroosje’s bosom became a cup size larger: “We wanted to come closer to Anton Pieck’s original design. The curtain in the room where she sleeps has also been moved slightly, it seems. the scene looks more like the sketch he once made.”
They appreciate the breast enlargement on social media. “Instead of football, skippy balls were chosen,” Ramon writes on X. “Plastic fantastic!”, headlines Coshira.
Breast enlargement has another advantage. “In the old situation, some screws and bolts were visible in the construction of Doornroosje. They are now more visible,” says the Efteling spokesperson.
New coat of paint and a clean costume
During the renovation, the entire castle was covered in scaffolding so that the old walls and facade could be renovated. The path to Sleeping Beauty and all other sleeping residents was also tackled, because the stones had become quite slippery over the years. Everything inside was given a new coat of paint, and all sentries and cooks were provided with a cleaned or new costume.
A new wheelchair-friendly path has been created between the castle of the Sleeping Beauty and the miniature world Diorama, so that the castle can now be seen 360 degrees.
