The Municipality of Texel imposes a penalty of 19,000 euros on Hans Klok RTL Boulevard

The penalty initially amounted to 10,000 euros, because construction of the site had started three days early, the municipality of Texel reported to RTL Boulevard. In addition, more residential units were installed than agreed. The fine for this is 9,000 euros. The municipality adds both amounts together, resulting in a total of 19,000 euros.

Hans is not concerned about the amount, because, according to him, it has been ‘extremely well done’. But he doesn’t think about returning to Texel. His circus was regularly harassed by angry local residents. For example, the plugs were pulled out of the generators several times during the night. “A few residents, really pathetic people, got involved,” Hans says NH News. “Not all of course, because there were also Texel residents who were ashamed of their fellow residents. A dog also pooped in the middle of the circus tent.”

Hans emphasizes that building the site cannot be done in one day, because the trucks have to drive back and forth a few times. He therefore finds the penalty ‘very lame’. He declares: “I never have to go here again.” According to NH News it is not known whether Beam Event will appeal.

Residents of Texel who would like to see a show by the illusionist will now have to go to the mainland: Hans will no longer be performing magic on Texel in the near future.

The municipality of Texel informed RTL Boulevard that neither Hans nor Beam Event responded to the hearing of the objection committee, where the penalty was decided. This hearing took place on December 13 last year.
