It is perhaps one of the nicest events in Tilburg: the MeiMarkt. From Saturday evening 22:00 to Sunday afternoon 17:00, the largest and nicest night market in the Netherlands is on the program again. The city center is turning into one big marketplace for second-hand stuff. There will be more than 400 stalls, 60 grounds and 80 children’s places where private individuals sell nice things. Whether you’re looking for comics from the 1960s, designer furniture, tasty snacks that are prepared right in front of you or just want to stroll around: it’s possible at the MeiMarkt. Silent Disco on the Hill
A Silent Disco will be organized on the Heuvel during the MeiMarkt. You can reserve headphones in advance. With the Heuvelse Kerk and the many stalls in the background, you can enjoy the best music and experience true festival vibes. Catering open all night
Where the catering establishments in Tilburg normally have to close their doors at 04:00, they can remain open all night in the night from Saturday 27 May to Sunday 28 May. It is of course entirely up to the catering entrepreneurs themselves whether they use this. But there is a chance that a lot of catering establishments will stay open all night.
Children’s Square
De Heuvel will be transformed into a children’s square during the MeiMarkt. Here you will find the Kindermèrt on Sundays between 08:00 and 17:00, where children up to the age of 12 sell toys on their rugs. There is also plenty of program for the kids.

the grun street
A ‘gruun street’ will be set up for the first time at the loading platforms of the Schouwburg. Here, stall holders can leave their leftovers when they leave. La Poubelle employees ensure that these items are given a second life or that they are recycled. After the MeiMarkt, follow the signage and contribute to a more sustainable MeiMarkt. You relieve the environment and yourself. The city is becoming cleaner and things are getting a second chance. Last year, 12,000 kilos of waste and stuff were left behind.
‘t gruun straotje will be open on Sunday 28 May between 16:00 and 19:00 at the Louis Bouwmeesterplein.
