The start of the ‘Doortrappen Drenthe’ project is on April 10 at Theater De Winsinghhof on the Brink in Roden. The initiative helps to continue cycling safely for as long as possible. By cycling, people stay healthy, independent and in contact with others for longer.
Doortrappen Drenthe consists of various cycling activities in the area that you can participate in for free. The event is organized by the municipality of Noordenveld, Welzijn in Noordenveld (WiN) and the province of Drenthe. The presentation is in the hands of sports reporter Herbert Dijkstra. Every resident of Noordenveld is welcome to attend.
Program
The program starts at 10 a.m. with coffee and tea in Theater De Winsinghhof. At 10.30 am, deputy Henk Jumelet of the province of Drenthe and councilor Robert Meijer van Noordenveld will open the day. This will be followed by presentations on bicycle safety by Artsen voor Fietsen and Herbert Dijkstra. Lunch will follow at 12 noon for all attendees. For those who would like to participate, a relaxing bike ride through the area starts at 1 p.m.
During the day, the bicycle repair cart of the Drenthe bicycle commuters and the Bicycle Vitaal cart of Veilig Verkeer Nederland (VVN) will be present. And the province of Drenthe offers residents of Noordenveld aged 65 and older the opportunity to take advantage of an exclusive bicycle helmet discount promotion of 25 euros.

Participation is free and only for residents of the municipality of Noordenveld.
