Three local talents will give an intimate concert in the Usva on April 16. After a few months of absence, it’s time for a Van Groningse Bodem session again! The first editions in the basement of VRIJDAG were a great success. However, due to the renovation of the building, the search for another location began. On April 16 we will settle in the Usva cultural student center.
Mart Eerens – is a hardworking artist from the Groningen scene. In four years he has already released a whole host of singles, an album and a live EP. Inspired by the 60s and 70s, he writes songs with a slick vintage layer. In February this year he released a special Valentine’s Day issue and organized a whole Valentine’s Day tour of the City for the occasion. Normally with a band, this time in a small line-up he plays his latest hits.
Anne Jan Toonstra – we already know from his cabaret performances. He has been performing his work in theaters for several years. But he only made pop music at home. After a mountain of 60 songs emerged, he decided it was time to reveal his secret hobby. Together with producer Gijs van Veldhuizen (Swinder) he went into the studio and built a full-fledged album. He will present this with full band in the Oosterpoort on April 26, but ten days before that you can already get a glimpse of this new work in the Usva!
Marit Nygard – no longer needs any introduction. In a short time, she and her fellow human beings became one of the most seen talents in Groningen. With just a few singles she has already managed to conquer many hearts and she was at the Best of Groningen Bodem 2023, ESNS and participated in Hit The North. In March ’24 she presented her debut De Fakking Sukkel EP, with which she could go much further this year.
