BREDA – His Majesty the King was pleased to have 637 awards presented in Brabant on the last working day before his birthday. Last year, the national ribbon shower in this province amounted to 484 decorations.
In the distribution area of BN DeStem – West Brabant and Tholen – there are now 206 awards, considerably more than in 2023 when there were 154.
The numbers in Breda, Drimmelen, Dongen, Moerdijk and Steenbergen are remarkable, municipalities where awards were presented significantly more often than a year ago. In Bergen op Zoom, on the other hand, there are now considerably fewer.
In this region the following numbers of ribbons are involved (with the number for 2023 in brackets):
Alphen-Chaam 4 (3); Baarle-Nassau 4 (4); Bergen op Zoom 13 (19); Breda 24 (15); Dongen 10 (4); Drimmel 9 (1); Etten-Leur 7 (6); Geertruidenberg 4 (6); Gilze and Rijen 4 (6); Halderberge 8 (5); Moerdijk 27 (9); Oosterhout 14 (14); Roosendaal 8 (8), Rucphen 6 (4); Steenbergen 22 (10); Tholen 7 (3); Waalwijk 11 (9); Woensdrecht 8 (6) and finally the municipality of Zundert 5 (6).
