A small plane disappeared from the radar over Croatia this morning. The Cessna 182 had three passengers on board in addition to the pilot. The aircraft departed from Split and was, according to Croatian media, en route to the southern German city of Ulm. Local media write that shortly before the disappearance, air traffic control received a report from the pilot that there were problems.
A search has been launched in a difficult-to-access area south of the town of Slunj. The rescue workers are suffering from the bad weather. Helicopters cannot be deployed. The search continues tonight.
