Feyenoord has a new training partner. While Van Donge & De Roo featured on the training shirt in the past two years, the honor will go to Q Terminals from the new season. It Algemeen Dagblad reports on Thursday evening that the reigning champion of the Netherlands has roped in the Qatari company as a new sponsor.

Feyenoord entered into a partnership with Van Donge & De Roo on July 1, 2022, but that will end in a few months. Starting next season, Q Terminals will be visible as a sponsor on the training clothing of the Rotterdam team. It sounds like a ‘million dollar deal’. Q Terminals is a terminal company jointly established by Qatar Ports Management and Qatar Navigation. It is ultimately responsible for enabling Qatar’s imports and exports, maritime trade flows and driving economic growth both locally and regionally.

Rotterdam is familiar territory for the Qatari company. Last summer, Q-Terminals took a majority share in the Kramer Group, a logistics service provider and a container terminal operator on Rotterdam Maasvlakte. Q Terminals saw the takeover as ‘an opportunity to acquire a strong position’ in the largest container port in Europe, according to the Port of Rotterdam website. Kramer has six locations in the port of Rotterdam, five of which are on the Maasvlakte and one in the Waal-Eemhaven area. Kramer Group is of strategic importance to the port of Rotterdam as it complements the port’s activities and has direct access to the deep-sea terminalsCEO Neville Bissett is quoted as saying.
