On Saturday, April 27, 2024, the Chief of Police of the Suriname Police Force, Chief of Police Bryan Isaacs and the Commander of the National Army, Colonel Werner Kioe A Sen, oriented themselves among the employees charged with the coordination and management of Operation Zero Tolerance. .

The aim of this operation is to increase society’s sense of security and to apprehend suspects who are tracked down.

The Chief of Police and Commander visited the Coordination Team (CT) of the KPS. The Joint Operations Center (JOC) of the National Army was then visited. Both the CT and the JOC discussed the outcome of Operation Zero Tolerance.

The Chief of Police and the Commander were pleased with the results and complimented and instructed the units to continue vigorously with security enforcement. They also oriented themselves during the practical implementation of the work. The employees were encouraged for the good work they do to ensure the safety of society.

The operations underway in the interior will be tightened and stricter action will be taken, the Surinamese police report.

Both the Chief of Police and the Commander make an urgent appeal to society to contribute to maintaining safety by sharing information about disturbances and/or criminal offenses with the Command Center via 115, the Tip Line 179 or the nearest police station.
