Taylor Swift on Forbes annual billionaires list for the first time | Economy

The 34-year-old singer is the first musician who managed to become a billionaire solely thanks to successful songs and performances. In addition, the American business magazine calls Swift the “most famous newcomer” on the billionaires list. The singer comes in at number 2,525 and is one of the 265 new billionaires.

In 2024 there will be a total of 2,781 billionaires, a record number. That is 141 more than last year and 26 more than in the previous record year 2021.

Bernard Arnault, known for fashion brands Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior, tops the list with an estimated fortune of $233 billion. Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos follow in second and third place with a net worth of $195 billion and $194 billion respectively.
