Several horses bolted in central London this morning. Photos and video footage show the horses running through the streets around Aldwych. There are five horses in total, one of which is covered in blood.
All horses have now been captured and are being treated by a veterinarian. An army spokesman told British media that at least four people were injured. The horses belong to the stables of the British royal family. They allegedly broke out during an exercise in the Belgravia district.
Panicked against vehicles
In their panic, the horses ran into taxis and a bus. A taxi driver tells the BBC that he saw three horses galloping towards Buckingham Palace. “It sounded like there was a car accident.” According to the driver, there was a van covered in blood at a hotel with a large dent in the side. “All the windows were broken, so I think the white horse ran into them.”
