PSV coach Peter Bosz has made two changes to his formation for the Eredivisie away match against Excelsior on Tuesday evening. Jerdy Schouten and Hirving Lozano have disappeared from the starting line-up after Saturday’s 3-1 defeat against NEC.
Schouten and Lozano are also not on the bench in Rotterdam. It is striking that Schouten openly attacked his coach Bosz on Saturday after the defeat at NEC. The midfielder did not want to hear about a “haughty” attitude of the players during the match. According to Bosz, he is now struggling with a knee injury.
Mauro Júnior takes Schouten’s position in midfield against Excelsior. Malik Tillman is positioned as a left attacker.
PSV will settle for nothing less than a victory against Excelsior. The leader of the Eredivisie saw Feyenoord approach three points last weekend. The difference is still seven points, but new damage from PSV can suddenly make the title race exciting again.
Excelsior-PSV kicks off at 8 p.m. The home team is sixteenth in the Eredivisie and can use the points well in the fight against relegation.
