Dick Advocaat took a swipe at ESPNanalyst Kenneth Perez. The coach of the Curacao national team stated in the Veronica Offside program that people who doubt the integrity of Peter Bosz have little understanding of it. Perez addressed Bosz with harsh words this weekend.

After the match between NEC and PSV, Perez responded critically to the interview of PSV coach Bosz, who called his team haughty and arrogant. ESPN’s Danish analyst is of the opinion that this was a play by Bosz: “You know that about him, that game, right? It’s easy language, especially because you haven’t noticed any of that behavior at PSV. It’s play, I think.” Perez said.

Dick Advocaat showed on Monday evening that he does not agree with Perez’s lyrics: “There is always a bit of acting involved. I think Peter Bosz is someone who really tells his story,” says Advocaat, after which table guest Wim Kieft tells him that – partly due to Perez – Bosz’s integrity is doubted: “That is said by people who have no understanding of it,” the former Feyenoord coach sneered at the analyst.

Earlier on Monday, Bosz himself responded irritated to Perez’s statements at the press conference in the run-up to the match against Excelsior: “I just give my honest opinion. He doesn’t have to agree with that. That’s allowed. It is possible that I am making a wrong analysis in his eyes. I just said: I don’t have a monopoly on wisdom. But you shouldn’t question my integrity, that I’m playing a game. I don’t play games,” Bosz clarified.
